

Mission Statement:
The mission
of San Juan Bible Conference, Inc. is to operate a Bible camp as a resource
to churches and Christian organizations and to conduct related programs
that:
I. prepare unbelievers of all ages (with
emphasis on children & youth) to accept Jesus Christ as their personal
Savior, and
II. provide believers the environment and
opportunity to grow (through service, fellowship and learning) in their
faith and walk with Jesus Christ.
Doctrinal Statement:
The
text in this Article applies to: I.) the members of the Board of Directors
(BOD) of the Corporation, II.) the full time and summer staff serving
at SJBC and III.) to the representatives of Supporting individuals and
organizations. Individuals in these groups are called we in
the following Sections of this Article.
Section I:
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the verbal
plenary word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete
revelation of His will for men, and the divine and final authority for
all Christian faith and life. (Matthew 19:4-5, Mark 12:26 & 36, Romans
15:4, I Corinthians 2:13, 10:11, 14:37, II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:21,
3:2 &15-16)

II:
We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally
existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19-19,
Mark 12:29, John 1:1-2 & 14, 4:24, 10:30, Acts 5:3-4, II Corinthians
13:14, Hebrews 1:1-3, Revelation 1:4-6)

III:
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived
of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as
a sacrifice for our sins, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven,
and is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our High Priest
and Advocate. (Luke 1:30-35, John 1:1 & 18, 3:16, Romans 5:6-8, II
Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 3:13, Philippians 2:5-8, Hebrews 4:15, I Timothy
2:5, Hebrews 7:25, I John 2:1)

IV:
We believe that the present ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify
the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner,
indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for Godly living and
service. (John 3:6, 16:7-11, Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 2:10-11, 12:13,
II Corinthians 6:14-18, Ephesians 4:30, 5:18, II Thessalonians 2:7, I
John 2:20-27
Section
V:
We believe that man was created in the image of God, sinned by choice,
which resulted in spiritual death, that the sin of Adam is imputed to
all men, Jesus Christ excepted, that man is totally depraved and incapable
of attaining eternal life apart from faith in the completed work of Christ,
and without such faith shall be eternally condemned to state of conscious

VI:
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide
the only ground for salvation and justification for all who believe and
only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit,
and thus become eternally the children of God, and may have full assurance
of their salvation. (Leviticus 17:11, Isaiah 64:6, Matthew 26:28, John

VII:
We believe in the personal imminent return of Christ for His Church and
the physical resurrection of the saved and unsaved. (John 14:3, I Corinthians
15:51-52, Philippians 3:20-21, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, Titus 2:11-14)

Evangelism:
Helping each guest discover Gods desire for a personal relationship
and five them the opportunity to respond.
Service:
Serving each guest by meeting their physical and spiritual
needs to the best of our ability.
Serving churches and Christian organizations in our
circle of influence by helping them
accomplish
their purpose (in accordance the the SJBC doctrinal statement).
Teaching campers how to fallow Christs example
of servanthood and providing service opportunities.
Teaching a
philosophy of servant leadership to our staff.
Fellowship:
Teaching campers how to live in harmony with others by contributing their
unique gifts and appreciating the contributions of others.
Learning:
Offering our guests opportunities to learn about God and His creation,
as well as opportunities to develop new recreational and social skills.
Leadership
Training:
Providing
intentional training in Christian leadership to camp staff through internship
programs as
well as various enrichment seminars.
Encouraging
various organizations engaged in leadership training to use our facility.
Adventure:
Offering our guest opportunities to test their abilities in an exhilarating,
but safe environment.
Simplicity:
Offering an environment with limited physical distractions so that guests
can more effectively appreciate and learn about God and His creation.
Family
Time:
Creating opportunities for families to grow together, both emotionally
and spiritually, outside of their normal environment.
Recreation:
God demonstrated to us that our bodies need rest and refreshment (Genesis
2:1-3).
Recreation involves learning things that bring true rest and refreshment
to our bodies.
